Our Prayers Were Answered!

The recipe for a hugely successful rummage sale, IUC style

• Perfect autumn weather
• A fabulous assortment of donations from Islington United Church (IUC) members and friends
• Crowds of shoppers from across the city
• Great prices
• A tireless crew of volunteers and staff who moved, organized and set up rooms
• The ever-friendly welcoming IUC community
• 59 bags of clothing to New Circles in Thorncliffe Park, east Toronto (which operates like our Mabelle Food Program)
• A huge truckload of goods to Ghana via our new friend, Josephine
• Eight bags of winter outerwear to our Scouting groups for refugees at Romero House in west Toronto
• $15,000 and counting for our Mission and Service (M&S) Fund commitments
• A collection of stories that touched the hearts of every person
