The Green Team
IUC Sustainability is a new, grass-roots stewardship initiative of our congregation.
We have begun by consulting with the experts, talking with other congregations and listening to our members. We are now forming a new team, we've joined the Green Awakening Network (sponsored by the United Church of Canada) and we're creating a plan and a vision of where to go.
Our objective: Lead sustainable practices in our community by reducing our environmental footprint, in economically and socially responsible ways.

The Green Way of Closing the Gap
We are very grateful to receive a generous donation in support of the “greening” of Islington United. An anonymous donor has directed the gift to the remediation of our building – to “close the gaps” in the doors, walls, and windows that permit warm air to escape and drive up our heating costs.
Thank you for this generous gift that will help us meet our conservation goals. (December 2011)
