| The Order of Islington
 The
body of Christ at Islington United Church is
blessed with members and adherents of all ages
who share
their wonderful God-given gifts. In the midst of
this giving and sharing community of faith, there
are some among us whose service to God shines through
in exceptional ways. The Elders have created The
Order of Islington to recognize the special nature
of the contributions of these members and adherents
over many years:
… to this church, or
… to the community, or
… to the world at large
These special people are role models who enrich
the lives of those around them. Their inspiring
expressions of faith help to make visible the kingdom
of God on earth.
The Order of Islington
is represented by a gold Celtic cross with
the
Islington United Church logo
at its centre and is inscribed with
“In the
Service of Christ.”
