Library News

The Library Committee meets on the fourth Monday of every month (excluding July and August) in the Resource Centre.

Our function is to select new books, discard outdated material, and display and maintain the library.
It is intended to provide spiritual reference items to all members of the congregation.

The Library Committee members, invite you to come down to the Resource Centre on the lower level and become acquainted with your church library.

New books are on the library cart in the hall between Linda Wheler’s and John Derksen’s offices and in the Stewart East Hall on Sundays. Please feel free to borrow them. Simply print your name, phone number and date on the book card in the back of the book. Place the card in the silver bag on the side of the cart. We operate on the honour system – please return your selection within three weeks.

New Books
Summer days are here again - time to catch up on your reading during
the lazy leisure hours. The following new titles have been added to our
collection in the Church Library/Resource Centre.

The author couples breath-taking revelation with wisdom, piercing

This young reader's edition of the worldwide best-seller "Three Cups of

Summer Time Reading
Why not use this time to brush up on your knowledge of the Bible?
Summer is a good time to renew and update your familiarity with the
old biblical stories - Bible heroes such as Moses, David, Daniel, Job,
Jonah, Noah, Ruth, Esther, Jesus, Paul, Peter ...
Our Church Library offers several types of books to help - e.g.,
A User's Guide to the Bible by Chris Wright; An Outline of the
Bible, Book by Book
by Benson Y. Landis. Many children's books of
illustrated Bible stories are useful resources for this purpose, too.

Please note: There are a lot of overdue books in circulation.
Please check your shelves at home and avoid having your name on the
infamous OVERDUE WANTED LIST!

WE CONTINUE TO PUT BOOKS ON THE BOOK CART WHICH RESIDES IN THE HALL NEAR LINDA’S OFFICE AND WHICH IS TAKEN INTO THE STEWART EAST HALL ON SUNDAY MORNINGS --- BUT PLEASE VISIT THE LIBRARY ITSELF WHICH IS SITUATED IN THE LOWER HALL, PAST THE MUSIC ROOM AND ON THE WAY TO THE SCOUT HALL. WE ARE PROUD OF OUR LIBRARY AND WANT YOU TO MAKE USE OF IT.
REMEMBER TO SIGN OUT ALL BOOKS WITH YOUR NAME, DATE, AND PHONE NUMBER
